Outlook on the Christian Global Health Movement course.
I.What is our mission? To be able to offer a course that educates the Church as to the essential nature of health in mission, the historical importance of health in mission and medical missions, cultural dynamics of doing health related missions work, and the present and future strategies for effective health related missions activities.
II.Who are our customers? Likely primarily Christian healthcare professionals within the global Church. But our hope is that it attracts the attention of a wide range of individuals, organizations and churches. Because we propose that helping people live healthy lives will require the involvement of many and diverse disciplines, we believe we will attract a variety of interested parties.
V.What is our plan? This we have already started:

- Nurses, doctors, PA’s, NP’s, PT’s, Pharmacists, Public Health specialists, etc
- Agencies that send Christian healthcare professionals to do cross-cultural work locally and globally.
- Christian healthcare sciences schools
- Seminaries interested in integrating a more wholistic understanding of health into their curriculum and into the minds of their students.
- Local churches who wish to have a more integrated approach to caring for their members.
- Community development organizations that seek to integrate a more wholistic understanding of health and healthcare into their work.
- A course that would effectively mobilize their people to involvement in health related missions cross-culturally. Especially in areas of unreached people groups.
- A course that is affordable
- A course that is accessible - our plan is to begin with an online delivery system but in the long run to also offer face-to-face classes taught by experienced healthcare mission practitioners.
- A course that is culturally relevant and contextualized. (not ethnocentric)
- A course that keeps itself relevant and contemporary. We will build into the system a means by which it is itself in a continuous learning mode so that the material taught is the latest and most relevant thinking.
- More people properly motivated to become involved in cross-cultural missions work with a special emphasis on health and healthcare related work.
- Less and less poorly done and thought out healthcare mission’s efforts.
- More and more fully integrated cross-cultural mission’s efforts.
- More and more unreached people groups being reached because our efforts are more wholistic. (contributes to growing CPMs/DMMs
- The global Church begins seeing itself as THE place where the most effective Whole Person Care happens.
